Dr Thiruvengadam Munisanjeevi
Founder and DirectorA physician by training, with a career spanning patient care, drug safety and medical affairs. He leads the group's strategy, management and technology.
Rawls Veil is a holding company building a family of enduring businesses across the sectors people depend on. Every one of them is held to a single standard: it must be fair from every seat at the table.
Imagine designing a company before you know your place in it. You might own it or work its night shift, buy from it or live beside it. Not knowing, you would make it fair from every seat. That is the company we are building.
The philosopher John Rawls asked a deceptively simple question. If you had to write the rules of a society without knowing who you would be in it, which rules would you choose? Rich or poor, employer or employee, buyer or seller: behind this veil of ignorance, only fair rules make sense.
We took our name from that idea, and turned it into a working discipline.
Before we make any decision, we sit in every seat at the table. If it is unfair from any one of them, we don't make it.
The Rawls Veil testIs this honest, safe and truly worth what we ask?
The group gives each company what is hardest to build alone. Then it steps back, and lets that company lead its field.
Long-term ownership, so our companies can invest for the next decade rather than the next quarter.
Talent, technology and know-how flow across the group, so every company grows faster than it could on its own.
The same governance, compliance and care, applied to every company and in every country we enter.
Built for generations, not quarters.
We will judge ourselves by the companies still standing, and still fair, a generation from now.Our first companies are taking shape in four sectors that touch everyday life. Each will be introduced here as it launches.
Clinical care and pharmaceutical research, measured by one thing: better outcomes for patients.
In formationProfessional and medical talent, matched with the organisations that depend on getting it right.
In formationDependable platforms and business software that companies can build on with confidence.
In formationThe group's own capital, deployed to fund and strengthen every Rawls Veil company.
In formationEvery company we build stands on its own, with its own name, its own leaders and its own way of serving people. What they share is our seal and four words: "A Rawls Veil company". Wherever you see them, the same promise holds. Fair from every seat.
A value only matters if it changes a decision. Here is what each of ours means, and the question we ask ourselves before we act.
We treat every customer, colleague and partner the way we would want to be treated in their place.
Our companies build real strengths of their own and share them across the group, so we never depend on anyone else's weakness.
We set a high bar and hold ourselves to it, even when no one is watching.
We keep the law and we keep our word, in every sector and every country.
We will never profit from the weakness of others, and no return, however large, will ever justify harm to the world we share. Where profit and principle part ways, we choose principle.
A group is only as great as the lives it lifts.
Between us, we have spent our working lives inside large institutions. One of us trained in medicine, caring for patients before moving into drug safety and medical affairs. The other served first in uniform, then spent many years helping families secure their futures.
Everywhere we looked, we saw the same pattern. Companies grew enormously. The people who ran them, and the public they served, were left with just enough to keep going.
Rawls Veil is our answer. We are building a group of companies across the sectors people depend on: self-sufficient, each one making the others stronger, and sharing opportunity, growth, rewards and skills fairly with everyone who makes them possible.
We are building it for the people in the daily race, who deserve far more than just enough. And we will hold ourselves to the test in our name: if a decision is unfair from any seat at the table, we will not make it.
Rawls Veil Holdings sets the strategy, standards and governance of the group. Each company keeps its own leadership and runs its own business, within one shared framework.
A physician by training, with a career spanning patient care, drug safety and medical affairs. He leads the group's strategy, management and technology.
A lifetime of service, first in the armed forces and then in life insurance. He brings discipline, stewardship and a long view of financial security.
We are forming our first companies now, and we choose the people we build with as carefully as they should choose us.
You lead a business in one of our sectors and want a long-term owner who keeps your name, your team and your ambitions intact.
You supply, serve or collaborate with companies like ours, and you value partners who pay on time and keep their word.
Organisations that share a long horizon and want to build alongside us. These conversations are private and by introduction only.
